Engine number one Market Street

San Diego Fire Department Engine number 1 Paramedic7 July 2009

I have already included a picture of this engine on the blog. But this is a daytime image where you can see the pretty red color better. I often see this engine on walks with my daddy, but too often he bumbles the camera and misses the shot. This time it was parked so he was able to get a picture.

I have to say there is nothing that beats a lady in a uniform. Humans are good for lots of things but their noses couldn't find a piece of old French cheese in a closet. I don't know how many times my dady passed over the most interesting smell story as though it was nothing. Dogs like Hollie can tell their partners the story of a fire so they can tell if it was an accident or the work of a bad guy. Hollie if you are reading this drop me a line or leave a message on the hydrant, I would love to get together an play, when your off duty of course.

Fire Engine 4 San Diego Fourth Avenue (night time)

Taken 4 October 2008
My daddy and I were out on a walk and got to see this engine number 4 going with lights flashing and siren blaring.  It had just rained so it was extra shiny.  This video was taken on Fourth Avenue, San Diego CA 92101.

San Diego Fire Department Fire Truck 1 SND

This is a night scene. Pictured is a San Diego Fire Department Truck labeled 1 SND in the Back is the sign for William Penn Hotel which has the words WM Penn Hotel written out in incandescent lights.
Picture taken 16 August 2008

My daddy and I saw this on one of night walks. I have to keep working him out until he loses that tummy. It is Fire Engine number 1. I like things that are number one. I am number one in my pack or maybe 1/2 because my mommy is number 0. Behind the Fire Truck is William Penn Hotel at 501 F. St. It isn't a hotel anymore but a condo building. They still keep the sign going though which I think shows a great deal of class. You wouldn't believe the number of pretty signs that have not been maintained by their new owners.
